ART Bay Area Regional Working Group #6

The Adapting to Rising Tides Program will be holding the next Regional Working Group meeting on November 27, from 1PM-4PM at the Port of San Francisco, Pier 1 – Bayview.

This is the sixth of twelve RWG meetings that will take place over the next year and half for the ART Bay Area project. The last meeting in September served as an opportunity to learn about our public engagement strategy with the Bay Area Health Inequities Initiative (BARHII) and get an update on the Horizon Initiative from MTC/ABAG. We also shared our new online tool to help visualize and communicate current and future flood risks in our region with the ART Bay Shoreline Flood Explorer (explorer.adaptingtorisingtides.org).

The November 27th meeting will serve as an opportunity for you to preview our ongoing regional-scale assessment work. In this meeting we will:
  • Present on the initial development of a Regional Sea Level Rise Vulnerability Assessment Framework with our consultants at AECOM;
  • Give a snapshot of the regional-scale vulnerability assessment results for the four asset categories of the ART Bay Area project; and
  • Provide the regional results of the ecosystem services models that we will be incorporating into our vulnerability assessments by the Natural Capital Project.

We look forward to collaborating with you on November 27.
