BCDC will hold the seventh workshop in the Rising Sea Level Workshop Series on April 20, 2017. This workshop is focused on scoping the implementation of the regional actions on sea level rise approved by the Commission on October 6, 2016. Workshop seven will focus on Action 5, which is “Change existing laws, policies and regulations to more fully consider the local and regional impacts of rising sea levels in permitting and decision-making processes as needed.”
The workshop will include a poster session presenting the adaptation programs and assessments that have been completed or that are currently ongoing and a panel discussion addressing the local and regional scale issues, challenges and lessons learned.
